A rather unimpressive beginning from a band that would later become one of the most energetic punk bands of the '90s. Fizzjob is paint-by-numbers trash-punk that resembles a more straightforward Devo, and although rather lifeless, the record showcases Rick Sims' distinctive guitar sound, though not yet fully realized. A few highlights include the mechanical rock of "Fix Some Food Bitch" and "Reflective Brain," the homage to 1950s degenerated youth culture on "Hafta Be Cool To Rule," and the lyrics to "Beast Le Brutale."
