Xin Liu

Liu Yuxin (April 20, 1997) is a Chinese singer, dancer, and rapper from Guizhou Province. She rose to prominence as a member of the all-girl groups THE9 and LadyBees. Her first public appearance dates back to 2012 when she took part in the youth empowerment variety show Up Young!, winning the Most Positive Youth Award. After participating in several reality shows and competitions, Xin Liu made her debut in 2015 with the single “Never.” In 2016, she became the leader of the group LadyBees through the survival reality show of the same name. Her debut as a solo artist arrived in 2018 with the EP XIN, released via Universal Music Group. The EP included the hits “Hot Party,” "Feel Good," "It's You," and "Don't Want to Miss You." Following LadyBees’ disbandment in 2019, Xin Liu won the 2020 survival reality program Youth With You 2, thus becoming the lead singer of girl group THE9. She released the single “Beatholic” in June 2020, followed by THE9’s first EP Sphinx X in August. In 2021, Xin Liu dropped a second EP with THE9 titled EPSILON, which sold over 5 million copies in China thanks to the hit single “Of Course.” Released just a few months later, her third extended play Xanadu doubled down on the experimentation by combining modern pop music with Chinese folk music and dance, earning her the Dance Music Artist of the Year at the Chinese Golden Melody Awards. In 2022, Xin Lui featured on the BoA track "Better." "Reality," her first solo single in four years, came out in 2024 and reached number 15 on China's Tencent charts.
