Violet Blend
Combining elements of alternative rock, glam rock, sludge, punk, and metal, Violet Blend emerged in 2014 and quickly rose to the fore of the Italian hard rock scene. They released their debut album, White Mask, in 2017, followed in 2021 by the hard-hitting and sonically diverse Demons.
Formed in Florence in 2014 around the talents of Giada Celeste Chelli (vocals and piano), Daniele Cristellon (guitar), Ferruccio Baroni (bass), and Michel Agostini (drums), the band honed their chops in small clubs before landing a prime opening slot for Radiohead at the 2017 I-Days rock festival. After inking a deal with Eclipse Records, Violet Blend issued their debut long-player, White Mask, in 2018. Dynamic and lyrically potent, the LP examined the false narratives and skewed sense of self brought on by social media interactions. For their follow-up album, 2021's Demons, the band looked once again inward, using demon masks from mythologies around the world to depict the lengths to which we go to hide our true selves.
