Slagr
Norwegian chamber folk trio Slagr were formed in 2003 by Anne Hytta (hardanger fiddle), Amund Sjølie Sveen (vibraphone), and Sigrun Eng (cello). Inspired both by their country's traditional music and by 20th century composers such as Steve Reich and Morton Feldman, Slagr have recorded several works of nocturnal, hypnotic beauty, mostly released on the German imprint Ozella. The trio's 2015 album, Short Stories, was awarded the Spellemannprisen, the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy.
