Niels Vincentz
Niels Vincentz is an adventurous, forward-thinking saxophonist with a bent toward harmonically advanced modern creative jazz. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Vincentz grew up in Denmark. While studying music in college, he spent time living in New York City and eventually settled in Djursland, Denmark. Vincentz has several titles under his name, including 1999's You Shouldn't Do This If You Are in a Hurry, 2005's Butterfly Effect, and 2008's Art Nouveau. Since 2012, Vincentz has toured regularly with his trio featuring drummer Billy Hart and bassist Cameron Brown, a combo that released 2012's Early Reflections and 2013's Gravity. In 2014, Vincentz and his trio returned with Is That So?, which also featured trumpeter Tom Harrell.
