Nadine Balbeisi
Nadine Balbeisi is an American-Jordanian soprano who specializes in early music. She attended the University of Michigan, where she received the Emerging Artist Award. She made her professional debut in Germany, where she performed vocal repertoire from the 14th to 18th centuries, including cantatas, oratorios, operas, and art songs. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras and chamber ensembles, including Atalante, Concerto con Anima, the Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester, the Neues Düsseldorfer Hofmusik, and the Churpfälsische Hofkapelle. She is a member of Cantar Alla Viola with vihuela de arco and lyra-viol player Fernando Marín, and she also performs as a member of Viola da Samba, a group that performs a fusion of Renaissance and Brazilian music.
