Majestic
North London-born producer, MC, and DJ Majestic (aka Kevin Christie) first appeared on the dance scene at just 15 when he started MC'ing at various U.K. garage nights and on local pirate radio. Immersing himself in the scene, Majestic took to producing at the same time, although he kept a lot of his work under wraps, fearing it wasn't good enough. In 2005 he finally released his first single, Kebab Riddim, before he delivered his follow-up, 2016's Topgear EP. Majestic made the conscious decision to split his MC'ing from his production work and would rarely feature his own vocals on his tracks, and over the next few years he continued to MC at club nights and festivals across Europe. A chance meeting with producers the Wideboys culminated in the release of the 2009 single In the VIP -- which took a satirical look at the VIP club scene. Majestic continued to split his time DJ'ing, producing, and providing vocals for other artists, including tracks with Laidback Luke and Mickey Slim. He pushed his production work to the front in 2014 with the release of Creeping in the Dark, and over the next two years he released a slew of singles, including Raised in the 90s, Hard, and the Break the Mould EP. Majestic also flexed his DJ'ing skills with the release of the Pure House & Garage compilation in 2016. The following year he delivered the singles Naughty Sesh and Bad Selection while mixing Pure House & Garage, Vol. 2.
