Kanenobu Sachiko
Asami Kanenobu, born in Osaka, grew up in a musical family and learned guitar during the mid-60s "college folk" boom. Inspired by British musicians like Donovan and Pentangle, she taught herself guitar techniques from their music. She made her songwriting and recording debut with Himitsu Kessha Marumaru Kyodan, but was pushed aside by the label in favor of traditional male artists. Her friendship with Happy End secured a solo album deal, produced by Haruomi Hosono. In 1972, she released "Misora", which showcased her unique sound and established her as a prominent figure in Japanese music.
