Jewelry

Jewelry is a South Korean girl group formed in 2001 by Star Empire Entertainment. The original lineup consisted of Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, Jun Eun-mi, and Jung Yoo-jin. They debuted with their first studio album, Discovery (2001). Shortly after that, Jun Eun-mi and Jung Yoo-jin were replaced by Seo In-young and Cho Min-ah. Their second album, Again (2002), marked the group's commercial breakthrough, reaching number 12 on the South Korean charts. This led to their third album, Beloved (2003), which continued their streak of success by cracking the local Top 10. Jewelry's fourth album, Superstar (2005), marked a transformation in their style and earned them even more success. The album featured hits like "Superstar" and "Passion," earning them Best Female Group at the 2005 Mnet Asian Music Awards. In 2008, the group underwent another lineup change, introducing new members Baby J and Eunjung. Their fifth album, Kitchi Island (2008), featured the single "One More Time," which was a massive hit, garnering them a Song of the Year award at the 2008 Golden Disc Awards. In 2009, Baby J and Eunjung formed a sub-unit called "Jewelry S" and released a mini-album, Sweet Song (2009). Jewelry's sixth album, Sophisticated, was released later that year. Several lineup changes occurred in the following years, including the addition of Semi and Kim Ye-won. In 2012, the group released their first extended play, Look at Me, and the digital single "Hot & Cold" followed in 2013. The group disbanded in 2015 but reunited for special performances in 2018 and 2022.
