Jesse Ruins
Jesse Ruins' sweeping soundscapes conjure the haze of shoegaze with the sparkle of ambient electronics. The group began in Tokyo in 2010 as a solo project for enigmatic musician Nobuyuki Sakuma, who debuted the project later that year with a cassette for the label Cuz Me Pain. By the following December, Sakuma recruited ghostly voiced female singer Nah to expand his atmospheric sonics, and the duo signed to Captured Tracks shortly after. They began 2012 with the re-release of sold-out single A Bookshelf Sinks into the Sand, followed a month later by the Dream Analysis EP.
