Jazz Fruits Music
Part of the Fruits Music label, Jazz Fruits Music is a playlist and compilation series with a bent toward relaxing jazz instrumentals. The playlists have garnered thousands of views online, with albums like 2022's Rush Hour hitting the Top Ten of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
Fruits Music was launched in 2016 by Dutch DJ and producer Stef Van Vugt. He had initially started out making music in his teens working under the name Steve Void. Van Vugt garnered attention for his remixes of tracks by the Weeknd and others before pairing with Alex Adair on original songs like "Burnin'." In 2016, he scored a hit with "Chemistry" and toured with Matoma, Steve James, and Cheat Codes. That same year, Van Vugt launched Fruits Music (originally Strange Fruits), curating a blend of licensed tracks under varying titles, including the hip-hop and downtempo-leaning Lofi Fruits, the EDM-infused Dance Fruits, and the jazz-oriented Jazz Fruits Music. Albums like 2022's Jazz Fruits Music, Vol. 1, Evergreen, and Rush Hour (the latter of which hit number six on the Jazz Albums chart) are relaxed, mood-based compilations.
