Griffin Oskar
Griffin Oskar is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer. A native of Portland, Oregon, Oskar self-released a track called "Hostage" under the name Småland, which is a small village in Sweden. The name was nod to his father's Swedish heritage, though it would eventually bring Oskar into contact with Swedish electronic producer Danrell who approached him about remixing "Hostage." The collaboration became a major success, netting over six million play on SoundCloud and topping the viral charts in Sweden and the U.S. in 2016. The song's success earned him a deal with Republic Records, which released his debut EP in February 2017.
