Goldtrix
London-based producers Danny Goldstein and Jamie Quinn (aka Matrix) formed Goldtrix in 2001. Goldstein, a programmer and talented keyboardist, previously worked alongside J. Magik (born Jamie Spratling) and dance music diva Kathy Brown on her "Love Is Not a Game" hit. On the other side, Jamie Quinn became involved in the jungle/drum'n'bass scene in the early '90s before releasing his first album, called Sleepwalk. They met Andrea Brown, the youngest sister in a family of singers, at the Miami Winter Music Conference. The threesome made their debut under the name of Goldtrix Presents Andrea Brown with "It's Love (Trippin)," a song previously recorded by the contemporary R&B artist Jill Scott and featured on her album Who Is Jill Scott? "It's Love (Trippin)" debuted in the U.K. singles at number six on January 14, 2002.
