Champion
Montreal, Québec native Maxime Morin played guitar in metal and punk bands until the mid-'90s, when his interest in electronic music provoked him to produce his own tracks. He produced and performed as Le Max and Mad Max, co-founded a studio for jingles and soundtracks and, in 2003, provided some of the instrumentation for the Academy Award-nominated film Les Triplettes de Belleville. Then, after changing his name to DJ Champion, he sought to fuse rock and dance music. His releases included 2005's Chill'em All (featuring the Canadian Top 30 single "No Heaven"), 2006's The Remix Album, 2007's Live, and 2009's Resistance.
