Bekay
Bekay is a native of Brooklyn, hence the moniker. He was offered a deal through the burgeoning New York City-based indie label Coalmine Records. Under his new deal, the rapper has added more hits to his list, including collaborations with Saigon and Inspectah Deck on "The Raw." Shortly thereafter he released a track, "Where Brooklyn At?," recorded with Ol' Dirty Bastard prior to ODB's death. The B-side, "Young," was rumored to be featured on Bekay's upcoming full-length, Hunger Pains, but did not actually make the cut. Bekay was chosen for "the Rawkus 50," an artist-driven campaign that the label has positioned as the next 50 important hip-hop artists.
