家家

Born on January 8th, 1983 in Taitung City to parents of Bunun and Puyama heritage, Taiwanese aboriginal singer-songwriter Jia Jia (real name Auli Puruburubuane) came into the world as the latest addition to an already successful musical family. With her older sister, Samingad, her uncle, Purdur, and her cousin, Hao En, having all launched fruitful singing careers of their own, Jia Jia found herself in good company, and soon teamed up with Hao En in 2006 to form a duo (昊恩家家). The pair’s debut collaborative album, the Mandarin-language pop effort Blue in Love, bagged them a Golden Melody Award for Best Vocal Collaboration, although they soon parted ways. After several quiet years, Jia Jia reemerged as a solo artist, signing to B’in Music, the label helmed by frequent collaborator and Mayday orchestra frontman Ashin. Her first album, 忘不記 (Unforgettable), arrived in 2012, producing the hit single “填空” (“Fill in the Blanks”) and resulting in another Golden Melody Award. Increasing her presence in the Mandarin-speaking world the following year with her musical contributions to TV series Prince of Lan Ling, Jia Jia soon signed a distribution deal with Sony, who picked up her next albums, 2013’s 為你的寂寞唱歌 (Alone The Way) and 2016’s 還是想念 (Still Missing). Her fourth LP, 我想要的 (I, Me, Mine), surfaced in 2019, and she served up numerous new offerings in 2020 including several duets and the solo single 祝我幸福”.
