Kosher
Kosher got their start in the small town of Warrensburg, MO, in 1995. Conceived as a three-piece, bassist/vocalist Remi Remlinger, guitarist Trent White, and drummer Rob Garrow began playing together in high school, playing local shows and writing songs. They began touring, eventually playing shows with bands like the Murder City Devils and Leatherface. Through their travels, they met Josh, who originally came into the band as a touring bassist in 1999. They kept him in the band but made him switch to guitar, bringing together a fuller sound. Kosher released two EPs, 1999's Bored in America and 2000's Death to Drama, before signing to punk label BYO and eventually releasing their full-length debut, Self Control, in the winter of 2001.
