Kers
Scott Froml, born on 21 August 1987 in Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia, is an Australian rapper known by his stage name Kerser. Inspired by rap artists such as Tupac, he began his rap journey at a young age, collaborating with his older brother Aaron (aka Rates) at the age of 11 and recording his own music by 18. Kerser made his debut with the mixtape "Straight Out tha Gutter" in 2009, followed by "Down the Drain" in 2010 with debut The Nebulizer, produced by Nebs, appearing on 14 October 2011. Described as raw, aggressive, and territorial, the album combines elements of rave, rap, electro, and R&B, with standout track "Kerser is the sickest," in particular, gaining him a considerable following. His second album, No Rest for the Sickest, was released on 2 November 2012, reaching number 15 on the ARIA Albums Chart and Number 1 on the ARIA Urban Albums Chart. Kerser embarked on a national tour to support the album, releasing The No Rest for the Sickest National Tour on DVD in 2023, which debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA Music DVD Chart. Kerser's third album, S.C.O.T., was released on 25 October 2013 and also reached Number 1 on the ARIA Urban Albums Chart. The album features collaborations with Nebs, Jay (Uf), and Jace Excel. Following this, his fourth album, King, produced by Nebs, was released on 14 November 2014, with Next Step, produced by Sinima Beats, following a year later, marking his debut under his label ABK Records and distributed by Warner Music Australia. Kerser continued his success with a series of top 5 albums, including Tradition (number 4) in November 2016, Engraved in the Game (number 5) in 2017, Lifestyle (number 2) in 2019, and Roll the Dice (number 3) in April 2020. In 2021, Kerser released "Winner," the lead single from his 2023 album, A Gift and a Kers which quickly rose to the top of the charts in June that year.
