jxdn

Jaden Isaiah Hossler, who operates under the stylized mononym Jxdn (pronounced Jaden), is a singer, songwriter, and social media personality who emerged in 2020 with a versatile sound that combines elements of pop-punk, rock, and trap. After signing to Travis Barker's DTA Records, he made his debut with 2021's Tell Me About Tomorrow, featuring the song "Wanna Be" with Machine Gun Kelly. Born in Dallas, Texas, Hossler and his family eventually relocated to Tennessee. Growing up in a Christian household, Hossler spent his formative years listening to classic rock and pop music. By his senior year, he was battling depression and finding solace in the works of Juice Wrld and XXXTentacion. In 2019 Hossler joined the social media platform TikTok and quickly amassed a large and devoted following. He released his first single, "Comatose," in early 2020, and it caught the ear of Travis Barker (blink-182), who signed the young artist to his own DTA Records, an imprint of Elektra. Four more singles appeared later that year, including "Pray" and "Tonight," the latter of which featured Puerto Rican rapper Iann Dior. After ending his debut year with the Better Off Dead EP, he kicked off 2021 with a rock cover of Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License." In July 2021, Jxdn released his full-length debut album, Tell Me About Tomorrow, which found him further embracing a high-energy pop-punk sound via production and drum-contributions by Barker. Buoyed by singles like "Think About Me" and "Wanna Be" (featuring Machine Gun Kelly), the album hit number six on Billboard's Top Alernative Albums chart. In June 2022, Jxdn released "Beautiful Boy," a song dedicated to his friend and social-media star Cooper Noriega, who had died that same month at age 19.
