Jung Dongha
South Korean pop/rock singer, actor, entertainer, and Kyungpook National University professor Jung Jae-hwan – born on April 17, 1980 in Seoul – is better known by his stage name Jung Dong-ha. He began his career as the lead vocalist of a high school band by the name of Navigator and various other bands by the time he graduated. After leaving military service in the Korean Army, he joined the band Boohwal in 2005 as their ninth lead vocalist. The band is considered to be one of the most iconic rock bands in South Korea. Jung Dong-ha recorded three albums with Boohwal before leaving in 2014. During his time with the band, he also worked on various projects including hosting a radio show called Live H and recording solo tracks for various South Korean movie soundtracks. With a three octave range, he became a vocal trainer for the Hyun Jin-young Go Project. He then made his debut as a radio DJ with his show Like Book, Like Music: This is Jung Dong-Ha. Jung Dong-ha released his first solo album, Begin, in 2014. His second solo album, The Reason I Was Afraid of the Night, was released in 2019. In July 2020, he released the song “Everything Passes By” taken from the soundtrack to Once Again, Part 7.
