Fred Rister
Fred Rister was a producer and composer, known for working with his DJ and singing partner David Guetta. The pair had collaborated since the early 2000s. As a writer and producer Rister helped create such dance classic as Black Eyed Peas' 'I Gotta Feeling', Flo Rida's 'Club Can't Handle Me' featuring David Guetta, and David Guetta's 'When Love Takes Over', featuring Kelly Rowland.
Rister was born in France and worked as a hairdresser before moving into music. He battled cancer nine times in 30 years. In 2018, after giving up on chemotherapy pills, Lister released his final single, the emotive 'I Want a Miracle' featuring Sam Martin and Chris Willis, detailing his struggle with cancer. He died in August 2019 at the age of 58.
