Fran Jeffries
Actress/singer Fran Jeffries (born Frances Makris) began her career in the late '50s, appearing in such films as Sex and the Single Girl, The Pink Panther, and Elvis Presley's Harum Scarum. Numerous TV, nightclub, and theater performances followed as Jeffries demonstrated her vocal talent, singing in the accessible, smooth style of Carmen McRae or Peggy Lee. Over the years, she performed with such diverse stars as Sammy Davis, Jr., Tom Jones, and the Count Basie Band. In 2000, Jeffries issued the ballads/standards set All the Love.
