Dissonance
The electronica/industrial pop band Dissonance formed in 1993, initially as a solo project for vocalist Cat Hall. The following year she began collaborating with programmer David Sebrind, and in 1996, after appearing on a bevy of independent compilation discs, the duo caught the ear of Paul Robb of Information Society and inked a deal with his label Hakatak International. Their eponymous debut album, released via Hakatak, arrived in 1997. Dissonance's sophomore studio album, the Nilaihah-issued Reincarnate, followed in 2002.
