De-Bons-En-Pierre
De-Bons-en-Pierre is a collaboration between Chicago-based experimental house/techno producer Beau Wanzer and Brussels-based electro artist Maoupa Mazzocchetti. Both individuals are known for creating dark, gritty tracks recalling the early days of electro and industrial. The duo first surfaced with 2017's Crepes, and sporadically released additional EPs, including 2023's Card Short of a Full Deck.
Wanzer visited Mazzocchetti's residence one day while in Brussels in 2016, and the two spent the entire day working on music together. The result came in the form of Crepes, a six-track EP of distorted industrial techno rhythms and playfully demonic vocals, which appeared on Dark Entries in 2017. The two reunited for another recording session, which produced two EPs issued simultaneously in 2019. Card Short of a Full Deck, containing six tracks composed for a live performance, appeared in 2023.
