Cain
Contemporary Christian act Cain found a home with audiences thanks to their melodic, acoustic-driven worship songs sung in the sibling trio's close three-part harmony. Their albums Rise Up (2021) and Jesus Music (2023) resonated with religious audiences based on the strength of radio staples like “Rise Up (Lazarus),” “Yes He Can,” and “I’m So Blessed,” among others
Taylor, Madison, and Logan Cain were raised by a Pentecostal preacher in Hartselle, Alabama, and shared a tight sibling bond. The trio began writing original songs of worship at young ages and were homeschooled before attending high school and local college Troy University together. Pursuing music professionally never seemed like a serious goal until 2012, when the Cains won a contest to open for fellow Christian artist Dave Barnes. An independent EP followed in 2015, along with constant touring.
Cain's profile was raised even further in 2020 when they signed to the Sony-distributed Provident label. Their self-titled EP on Provident spun off the single “Rise Up (Lazarus),” which earned a Gold record from the Recording Industry Association of America. A number of spiritual covers followed as non-album singles, including takes on Kenny Loggins (“Celebrate Me Home”) and Zach Williams and Dolly Parton's “There Was Jesus”; Williams later became a collaborator who took the trio on tour as an opener.
The album Rise Up, issued in 2021, featured more Christian radio hits, including “Yes He Can,” “The Commission,” and “I’m So Blessed.” An EP issued that same year, Wonderful, included the titular collaboration with Steven Curtis Chapman. Cain spent most of 2022 touring and made their debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry. In 2023, Cain issued a live EP, Honest Offering, and their second studio album, Jesus Music. They supported Jesus Music in 2024 with tour dates alongside notable Christian acts Crowder, Newsong, and Chris Tomlin.
