19&YOU
Formed in Australia and based in Los Angeles, 19&YOU make bright, melodic alt-pop with a wistful tone. They have released a pair of EPs including 2022's Sentimental Playback.
American musician Noah Taylor initially followed a girl to Sydney, but he ended up forming a band instead. The producer/keyboardist struck up an immediate friendship with singer Cameron Graves, guitarist Jackson Leitch, and drummer Liam Wallis, and within a week the quartet were recording original music together. Considering the age of 19 to be full of transformative moments, they chose the name 19&YOU and, after a collective move to Los Angeles, released their self-titled debut EP in early May 2021. A follow-up EP, Sentimental Playback, arrived the next year.
