Taylor Ray Holbrook

Taylor Ray Holbrook is a likeable, ex-lumberjack who has become a country music sensation through his social media presence. By skilfully exploiting the platforms of Vine, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, Holbrook has rapidly built up a sizeable fan base for his pop-oriented take on country music. An independently released single 'Steal My Kiss' was cleverly promoted on the Internet and after going viral launched the young singer into the Billboard Charts prompting a move in 2016 to the epicentre of country music: Nashville.

With his finger on the pulse of modern country music Holbrook decided to team up with Ryan Upchurch, another performer skilled at manipulating social media. Upchurch has a rapidly expanding audience and occupies a peculiar niche known as country rap, or 'hick-hop' as Upchurch calls it. Their collaborative single 'Southern Land' released in 2016 is a gently ironic reflection on back country lifestyle and by combining the audiences of two very different country artists it has become a popular anthem for a substantial number of young country music enthusiasts.
