Laureano Brizuela
Argentine singer/songwriter Laureano Brizuela was born in Buenos Aires in 1949. After quitting his university studies to become a professional musician, Brizuela had his first hit in 1972 with "Por Qué Te Quiero Tanto," included on his debut album of the same year. Brizuela made several successful albums of ballads and pop/rock for CBS during the 1970s. In 1978 he moved to Puerto Rico to work as musical and television producer for singer Ednita Nazario, whom he also married. Brizuela relocated to Mexico in the 1980s to reignite his solo career, and he also became a soap opera actor. After becoming a U.S. citizen, in 1993 Brizuela founded the production company No Tears with Jeff Silbar and Bruce Sugar, and he continued releasing his own albums as well as albums by other artists.
