Glossa
Known by many as Spain's most international label, and considered by many to be the world's finest in early music, is based in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, in the mountains near Madrid. Founded in 1992 by the musician brothers José Miguel and Emilio Moreno and directed since 1995 by Carlos Céster, it is a landmark not only on account of its extreme artistic coherence - with great names in early music among its exclusive performers, such as Paolo Pandolfo, La Venexiana, Graindelavoix, the Orchestra of the 18th Century, Le Concert Spirituel, Fabio Bonizzoni, or the Moreno brothers themselves - but also because of its always innovative and exquisite formal proposals, such as the introduction of digipaks into classical music, the publication of beautiful book-CDs or the Glossa Platinum collection with its avant-garde design. Since 2007, Glossa is owned by the German company Note 1 Music GmbH.
