Wells
Blues harp player Junior Wells has been described as wild and rebellious during his formative years who, from an early age, was sharing the stage with artists such as Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy. As his fame and talent grew he appeared with bands like The Rolling Stones as well as being an established solo perfomer in his own right.
He began recording in the early 1950s after replacing Little Walter in Muddy Waters' band and in 1965 released his first solo album 'Hoodoo Man Blues'. He died in 1998 at the age of 63 and left behind a recording legacy of over 40 albums many of which are regarded by aficionados of Chicago electric blues as defining a golden era in the history of blues music.
