The Independents
Led by Evil Presly & Willy B, the Independents boasted one of the more balanced 1990s attacks of first wave punk, rockabilly, ska, and pop melody. With a B-movie horror bent out of the Misfits, and the backing of Joey Ramone, the South Carolina band quickly amassed a loyal punk following, and a semi-regular spot in the annual Warped Tour line-up. Despite a serious bus crash in 2004, the Independents regrouped and continued to record well into the 2000s.
