The Bran Flakes
The cute indie pop duo known as the Bran Flakes first got its start in Seattle, WA, around the turn of the century. Otis Fodder and Mildred Pitt began using samples from obscure records and added their own touches to create sound collages. Their first album, I Don't Have a Friend, came out in spring 2001. The following year brought Bounces!, released on Happi Tyme Records.
