Temecula Road

Temecula Road embraces the sweeter side of country-pop, dressing their sunny melodies with candied harmonies -- a mellow California aesthetic that stays in place whether they're singing ballads or cheerful uptempo tunes. Initially a trio, Temecula Road narrowed down to the duo of Dawson Anderson and Emma Salute in 2022, showcasing the new lineup on the singles "Heartbreak in Boots," "By You," and "Wrong Ones Do." Dawson Anderson initially met Emma Salute and her sister Maddie through a vocal coach they all had as pre-teens. Their friendship quickly turned creative and the trio decided to form a band, Inspired by such 2000s country icons as Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the band played their first show in 2013. By 2016, they were working hard on the road, opening for the likes of Sara Evans, Josh Turner, Martina McBride, and Eli Young Band before supporting Jessie James Decker on a tour. Toward the end of the year, the group signed to Buena Vista Records, a move that led Radio Disney to name them the Next Big Thing; they were only the second country act to receive that honor. "Closer" became the group's first single for Buena Vista in late 2016, followed by "What If I Kissed You," "Hoping," "Everything Without You," and the seasonal "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" in 2017. In 2019, the trio moved to Nashville to shore up their country roots. Temecula Road's sound began to mature with "Fades," the first of four singles to arrive in 2019; it was followed by "Never Knew I Needed You," "Christmas in Dixie," and "Maybe Not." Acoustic versions of all these songs save the holiday tune arrived in 2020, a year when they also released the new single "The Climb." Temecula Road made further inroads into the mainstream early in 2021 when the group debuted their single "Everything I Love" on The Bachelor. When Maddie Salute left the band early in 2022, her sister Emma and Dawson Anderson decided to continue Temecula Road. Their first release as a duo was "Heartbreak in Boots," a single that was quickly followed in 2022 by "By You" and "Wrong Ones Do."
