Teejay3k
Florida-based rapper Teejay3k takes a serious approach to his lyrics, wanting to convey the truth about his upbringing and lifestyle.
Born in 1996, he was exposed to a lot of music growing up, with his mother playing records around the house and his father making demos to play in the car. After his parents divorced, he moved in with his mother, while he continued to pursue his dream of playing football professionally. At 18 his friend took him to a studio, inspiring him to get into rapping instead. His debut single, 2014's "Paper Soldiers," demonstrated a lot of promise, as it included a feature from Kodak Black, however, a series of false starts caused him to quit music. Soon after he moved to Orlando, Florida, he enrolled in college only to drop out. He was not completely deterred, returning to the studio in 2018 where he began to prolifically create new music. This resulted in three mixtapes in 2019, Since Jit Days, Product of My Environment, and Soul Searchin, the latter of which served as a breakthrough for him, gaining a fan base in the process.
