Sabrina Salerno
In 1987, at the height of the Italo-disco or Italo-dance craze, Sabrina burst onto the scene with "Boys (Summertime Love)" , often mistakenly referred to as "Boys Boys Boys". Aside from its easy chorus and danceable rhythm, the song is best known for its video, in which Sabrina launches the fashion for wet T-shirts and other pool games. This worldwide hit made her an icon of the era, on a par with Samantha Fox, also known for her flamboyant plasticity. An unsinkable hit, "Boys (Summertime Love) " has been back in the spotlight ever since. Since 2007, Sabrina has taken part in the RFM Party 80 tours, which in 2012 gave producer Thomas Langmann the idea for the film Stars 80. Sabrina plays herself in the film, happily recreating the famous pool scene.
