RuthAnne
Before launching her own solo career, Dublin-raised singer/songwriter Ruth-Anne Cunningham found success penning pop hits for acts like JoJo, Britney Spears, and Niall Horan. Born in Donaghmede, Ireland, Cunningham's affinity for music was apparent from a young age, and by the time she was 17, she had relocated to Los Angeles and co-written the 2006 hit "Too Little, Too Late" for American singer JoJo. Over the next decade, she focused largely on her songwriting, notching hits like Britney Spears' "Work Bitch," One Direction's "Where Do Broken Hearts Go," and Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha's "In the Name of Love." Cunningham also cultivated her own singing career; she was featured on tracks like Cedric Gervais' "Missing You" and Lindsey Stirling's "Love's Just a Feeling" using the name Rooty. Following a 2017 collaboration with JRY on the song "Pray," from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, Cunningham made her own solo debut under the name RuthAnne with the lush single "The Vow." Throughout 2018, RuthAnne added to her solo discography with singles like "Take My Place," "Liquid," and "It Is What It Is," and played shows supporting Hozier and Alanis Morissette. Kicking off 2019 with the soulful "Survivor," she then collaborated with Swales on the dance track "Higher (Call My Name)." The uplifting "Love Again" followed shortly after.
