Quiet Life
Born in the whaling town of New London, Connecticut, and based out of the hirsute, indie folk hub that is Portland, Oregon, Quiet Life specializes in wide-open, twang-kissed, Pacific Northwest Americana in the vein of the Lumineers, Head and the Heart, Shovels & Rope, and Trampled by Turtles. Formed in 2006 by brothers Sean (vocals and guitars) and Ryan Spellman (drums and some singing), along with bassist Paul Dutton and guitarist Craig Rupert, the quartet issued its debut album, Act Natural, in 2007. Big Green arrived in 2011, followed by their third long-player, Wild Pack, in 2013.
