Port Sulphur Band

The Port Sulphur Band is a fictional music group made famous by their work for the video game Hunt: Showdown by Crytek. The band is strongly associated with the game's dark, atmospheric soundtrack, which is characterized by a mixture of blues, southern rock and dark Americana. The exact date of the band's formation is unknown, as are the names of the members, as they are deliberately kept in the background as part of the mystery surrounding the game. Their music plays a central role in emphasizing the eerie and menacing atmosphere of Hunt: Showdown. Some of their best-known tracks, such as "Rise Up Dead Man" and "Short Way Home", have become cult classics among fans of the game. The songs have gained an enormous following via the game community and social media. With the two albums The Devil's Fee (2023) and Shadows Calling (2024), the Port Sulphur Band reached the German charts.
