Ponette
Melding glitch-hop beats and icy synths with tough guitar riffs and synth pop melodies, Ponette are an electronic pop band from Oslo, Norway. Featuring members Helene Svaland, Johannes Amble, Ivo Gutu, and Johan Fredrik Bolli, they made their first appearance on the scene in 2016 with the independently released I'm Alone EP, which earned them praise from fellow Norwegian electronic act Röyksopp. They took their material live in 2017 and landed a spot in the lineups of the Norwegian Wood Festival, the Øyafestivalen, and the by:Larm Festival. That year also saw the release of their single "Freak," and a guest contribution on "Medicine" by American producer Black Coast. Ponette returned in 2018 with the track "Gun."
