Philip Corner
Many of Philip Corner's scores from the early '60s were partly verbal instruction and partly graphic fragments for open improvisation ensembles, for example, Passionate Expanse of the Law and This Is It This Time (involving the scores being hung on a string throughout orchestra). His later work involves more meditative concerns.
