Nakul Abhyankar

Nakul Abhyankar (May 25, 1990) is a playback singer and music director from India. Born in the town of Belthangady in Karnataka, he specializes in both Hindustani and Carnatic styles of classical music. Despite being a native Kannada speaker, Nakul Abhyankar has also recorded songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tulu. Additionally, he studied jazz singing at KM Music Conservatory and was a member of A.R. Rahman's Nafs jazz ensemble. After graduating from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka with mechanical engineering degree in 2012, he made his official debut as a playback singer with the track "Usiragu Baare" from the 2013 film Janma. In 2018, he scored his first hit when the song "CEO in the House," included in the soundtrack of the political action film Sarkar, became extremely popular among Indian audiences. That same year, he also made his debut as a composer on the short film Rishabhapriya, for which he won Best Music Director at the SIIMA Awards. Subsequent hits like "Azhage" from the film Action (2019), "Love You Chinna" from the film "Love Mocktail" (2020), and "Thumbi Thullal" from the film Cobra (2022) all enjoyed great success in India and helped establish Nakul Abhyankar as one of the most celebrated music artists in the country. In 2022, he featured with Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty on the track "Colours Song," included in the soundtrack of the Telugu-Tamil action movie The Warriorr.
