Monk Parker
Based in Austin, Texas, reverb-drenched confessional alt-country-rockers Monk Parker emerged from frequent changes to the official and large touring lineup of lo-fi noise band the Low Lows. After that group's third LP was delayed for several years, in 2014 lead man Parker Noon, by then using the moniker Monk Parker, announced a rebranding of the band, also to be called Monk Parker. He was joined by BC Costello and Zach Larkins on organs, Jonathan Merz on trombone, and Thom Washburn on drums. Their debut album, How the Spark Loves the Tinder, appeared in August 2015 via the Bronze Rat label.
