Mccafferty

Emo/dance-punk outfit McCafferty was formed by singer/songwriter Nick Hartkop in 2012 in Medina, Ohio. Initially an acoustic punk project, Hartkop began recording with drummer Evan Graham and producer Wes Easterly, cranking out numerous demos, singles, and EPs in 2013 alone. When Graham departed for a time, Easterly took over on drums and McCafferty recorded their debut full-length, 2014's Beachboy. Not long after, Hartkop decided to disband McCafferty, effectively ending their first era together. They resurfaced again in 2016, this time as a quartet featuring Hartkop, Graham, Easterly, and Chris Joecken. Following a successful GoFundMe campaign, they recorded an EP, Thanks. Sorry. Sure., which was picked up by Take This to Heart Records and released in 2017. In November of that year, McCafferty offered up their second EP, Forest Life, followed in early 2018 by a split EP with fellow Ohioans Heart Attack Man.
