Lil Migo

An affiliate of the Blac Youngsta-helmed label Heavy Camp, Memphis rapper Lil Migo is a master of variable flows and weighty, bass-driven beats. He quickly rose through the trap underground with 2021 mixtapes King of the Trap and its sequel, King of the Trap 2, both of which featured cameo appearances from rap heavy-hitters like Quavo and Yo Gotti. For the 2023 project Trap Tuition, Lil Migo opted to collaborate with up-and-comers like Co Cash, SleazyWorld Go, and Hunxho. Born and raised in the northside of Memphis, Migo was originally inspired to rap by a school friend. After a brief spell in college, he decided to focus full-time on music and started to work his way through the Memphis trap underground. Debuting in 2018 with the release of "Gotta Be Dumb," Migo went on to release a slew of tracks before issuing his debut mixtape, 2020's Voice of the Trap. Collaborations with the likes of Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta saw his profile rise and in 2021 he'd secured a deal Blac Youngsta's Heavy Camp, a subsidiary label of Universal. His debut for the label, King of the Trap, was issued the same year and saw him teaming up with Yo Gotti, 42 Dugg, Rich the Kid, and his previous collaborators Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo. Just a few months later, Migo dropped the follow-up, King of the Trap 2, which saw him expand his guest list, this time to include collabs with Quavo and OG Da Juiceman. After releasing several singles and deluxe editions of his mixtapes in 2022, Migo released a new mixtape, Trap Tuition, in October of 2023. The project featured a wealth of icy beats, menacing rhymes from Migo, and solid guest appearances from on-the-rise rappers like Lil Jairmy and Co Cash.
