Leo Bhanji
London-based singer/songwriter Leo Bhanji first grabbed fans' attention with his dreamy, genre-bending songs, including 2019's "Nope" and "Heart of Gold."
Born in Los Angeles, Bhanji moved to London as a toddler with his family. It was there at around age 12 that he started recording music at home on his computer. Drawing inspiration from artists like Frank Ocean, Future, and Lou Reed he developed a lo-fi style, touching upon electronic pop, R&B, hip-hop, and indie rock. He began posting tracks online and by 2019 had started catching a buzz with songs like "Nope," "Heart of Gold," and "Blood & Guts." Bhanji eventually attracted the attention of the Dirty Hit label, which signed him. In July 2020, he released his debut EP No Guard, which included the track "Blade of Hope."
