Kobo, real name Kobo Redson, is a Belgian rapper born on July 2, 1992 in Brussels. Of Congolese origin, he returned to his native country in 2018 to shoot a seven-minute short film with director Antoine Besse, an experience that enabled him to reconnect with his roots and integrate his culture into his art. His musical style is characterized by dark, realistic narratives, illustrating the harshness of urban life. Tracks like "Baltimore" depict environments where money and violence predominate, reflecting the challenges of working-class neighborhoods. Kobo doesn't limit himself to music; he is also involved in making music videos and short films, approaching his art from a variety of angles.
