Kid Froopy
Kid Froopy makes Internet-age electronic pop, often utilizing pitched-up vocals, sugary melodies, and intricate, glitchy arrangements. His tracks are often themed around the woes of online communication and missed connections, and are equal parts giddy and wistful. Raised in Des Moines, Iowa, he began producing tracks in high school, using music-making software FruityLoops, which eventually became the inspiration for his moniker. After uploading tracks for a few years, EDM fans started to take notice of his work around 2014. His 2015 remix of Robokid's "Helix" attracted attention from Robokid himself, and Froopy's song "BB (Four Missed Texts)" was released by Moving Castle in 2016. Following remixes for Manila Killa and Terror Jr, Froopy released "Dreams" and "Drive Slow" on the Deadbeats label in 2017.
