Key
K-pop singer and celebrity Key was born Kim Ki-bum on September 23, 1991 in Daegu, South Korea. He signed with SM Entertainment in 2006 and rose to national fame as a member of the boy band Shinee in 2008. He and his band mates became superstars, often appearing in various television series. He branched into theatrical performances with the leading role in a 2012 production of the stage musical Catch Me If You Can. That led to him playing Clyde the next year in a stage musical of Bonnie & Clyde. At this time he began Toheart, a duo with Woohyun, and the pair took home the popularity award at the 29th Golden Disk Awards. He became a popular fashion designer in 2015, all the while maintaining and expanding his popularity as a performer. In 2017 he starred in the television series The Guardians, capturing Best New Actor at the 30th Grimae Awards. Though he had been the featured vocalist on various tracks in the past, he launched his solo career with the 2018 LP Face, which hit number 5 in Korea. Later that year came the EP Hologram. Face was repackaged as I Wanna Be the next year, and the single “Honest” scored him chart success as far as Indonesia.
