Kapanga
Argentine five-piece act Kapanga started as a project called Kapanga y sus Yakarés in 1989. Nevertheless, the band was unable to remain active and disbanded soon after. In 1995, the group was reunited, shortening its name to Kapanga. In 1998, the band's debut album, called A 15 cm. de la Realidad, was released. Later, a song called "El Mono Relojero" became Kapanga's first hit. In August of 1999, Un Asado En Abbey Road came out, followed by Operación Rebenque, issued in November, 2000. That same year, Kapanga had the opportunity to perform at some venues in the U.S., interacting with Latin-rock fans in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.
