Jessy
One of the most popular vocalists on the Belgian dance scene, Jessy De Smet was born in Zottegem in 1976 and first found fame fronting '90s TMF Award-winning outfit the Mackenzie, who she recorded the album Angel with before leaving to pursue a solo career. In 2002, she teamed up with Milk Inc producer Regi Penxten for her 2002 debut, Rain, but achieved her biggest success four years later when her collaboration with Mickey Modelle, "Dancing in the Dark," reached the U.K. Top Ten. Following guest appearances on tracks by Sash! and DJ Rebel, she released a Greatest Hits collection in 2012.
